Custom Heliarc Welding and Machine, Inc., uses state-of-the-art CNC machining and welding equipment to produce precision components and finished products to the most exacting customer specifications. Our services include:
CNC Turning and Milling:
Our shop is fully equipped with U.S.-made, state-of-the-art high-speed turning and milling centers. We are constantly updating and replacing equipment with new technology. All of Custom Heliarc's programmable machines are equipped with tool pre-setters and probes.
Prototype Work:
We craft prototypes, using our expert turning, milling, welding and sheet metalworking capabilities. We have made prototypes for camera housings, electrical bus bar components, pressure vessels, intake manifolds and more. Our prototype work includes experimental first-run parts and small-quantity items, e.g., one, three, or five pieces that we make with our toolroom lathes and mills. We also fabricate tables, racks and similar items.
Welding:
If it can be welded, Custom Heliarc will weld it. As our name implies, we specialize in heliarc, stick and mig welding. We weld aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper and other metals—everything from small, intricate parts to structural I-beams. We handle large volumes of aluminum welding. We also repair molds; e.g., we'll build up worn edges or corners to restore mold parting lines with no sink or undercut. All of our welders are U.S.-made.
Soldering and Brazing:
Custom Heliarc offers low-temp and high-temp silver soldering and brazing. We do a lot of small- to high-volume silver soldering on copper and brass. We also offer brazing, usually to repair tools by rebrazing carbides on the broken tools.
Sawing Services:
With our automatic Amada cutoff saw, Custom Heliarc produces high-volume saw-cut blanks, customized for whatever a customer needs—anything from one-sixteenth-inch diameter up to 10-inch diameter, using materials ranging from aluminum, copper and brass to steel, stainless steel and inconels (an aerospace alloy).
Cleaning and Inspecting:
Custom Heliarc carefully cleans all products to customer's specifications. To ensure quality, Custom Heliarc has a precise inspection procedure that every job goes through.
